Applying SEL Strategies to Support Blended Learning
Supporting a student's social and emotional well-being can be a challenge that becomes even more challenging when working within a blended classroom setting. As part of this course, we will discuss how to apply Social Emotional Learning strategies to support learners in a blended learning environment, based on CASEL's five Core Competencies. Additionally, we will identify and apply strategies for facilitating SEL best practices in a blended classroom setting that can be personalized to your specific classroom needs.

Identifying SEL Strategies for All
Supporting students’ social and emotional well-being is critical for academic growth. Students need to develop skills through targeted and strategic instruction to support their development of self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. It is important for teachers to be cognizant of the needs of individual students when planning routines, procedures, and activities in the classroom. In this course, you will explore a variety of high-leverage strategies that promote the CASEL 5 Core Competencies to use in your classroom.

Introduction to Social-Emotional Learning
Supporting student social and emotional wellbeing is essential in order to help students be successful in both school and life. In order to better support schools, educators, and families in promoting the social-emotional wellbeing of their students, the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning, otherwise known as CASEL, established a mission to help make evidence-based social and emotional learning (SEL) an integral part of education. In this course learn more about CASEL and its critical work to help students cope with change, address new challenges, make meaning of their new environments, and build strong connections. Develop a deeper understanding of social-emotional learning needs and strategies to support individual student growth.

Understanding How Trauma Manifests in the Classroom
According to the CDC, traumatic events are defined as an event marked by a sense of horror, helplessness, serious injury, or the threat of serious injury or death. Traumatic events can happen to anyone for many reasons. As educators, it is our job to help our learners who have or are facing traumatic events feel safe. In this course, discover what are common responses to traumatic events, and approaches to help build a safe environment for all learners.
